Come to the Memorial Day Parade and Festivities

Come to the Memorial Day parade tomorrow at 11:30 am. You recall a passage from my Memorial Day Mayor's message from Friday, "Educating Future Generations-"

"As we gather to remember our fallen heroes, let us also take the time to educate the next generation about the sacrifices made for our freedom. Please encourage your children to attend the Memorial Day Parade in Town on Monday, participate in flag ceremonies, and learn about the history of our nation's conflicts. By passing down the stories and lessons of our fallen heroes, we ensure that their legacies are never forgotten."

Last year I began a tradition of marching with the children of Village residents, which was fun and a great learning experience. If you have children between 12 and 21 that would like to march in the parade with me, representing Tuxedo Park, parents, please bring them to the school parking lot between 11:00 am and 11:15 am tomorrow. Be sure they are appropriately dressed for hot weather and have one or two bottles of water. Be prepared to march and wave to the crowd. The parade begins at 11:30 am from the school to the veteran's memorial below the Park gate.
