Gate System Charges Settled

Gate System Charges Settled

Posted November 18, 2021
Yesterday the board approved the allocation of charges replacing the Tag system for accessing the village.

The board made several changes to the proposal posted on the website on November 9, 14, & 16, 2021

The board agreed to pay for the new system ($19,938) by tapping unused line items in the current budget. Therefore, the need to charge residents is unnecessary.

Residents

At no charge, you may register an unlimited number of vehicles, including family members, parents, and domestic help. Vehicles remain registered as long as you own a home, property, rent, and vehicle. Please register your vehicles now by completing and returning the form you received with your water bill or calling Denise at 845-351-4741. For those of us who get nostalgic over the Tag mounted on their car, including me, I have suggested the board approve a commemorative TP Tag for our cars.

Non-residents

School, Club, and Church:

Parents and Members – $29.95 for unlimited vehicles in the same family - One-time (not per vehicle) payment of $29.95 - Paid annually.

Employees - $14.95 per vehicle - Paid annually.

Seasonal

Wee Wah Park Hamlet members and Wee Wah Lake Fishing Club members – $9.95 for unlimited vehicles in the same family - - One-time (not per vehicle) payment of $9.95 - Paid seasonally.

Contractors - TBD per vehicle - Paid annually.

Notes 1) The board will also consider an annual lump sum payment from the school, club, and church.  2) School, club, church, and contractor vehicles can use the main and south gates. Seasonal vehicles, the main gate only.
