Stalled for years, Tuxedo developer wants to increase home total to 2,000 from 1,200

Chris McKenna, Times Herald-Record, TUXEDO -  A 1,200-home project first proposed more than 30 years ago in Tuxedo has now resurfaced bigger and bolder. 

The Tuxedo Farms developer is preparing to revive the stalled plan with a recast vision for a denser and more walkable community with even more homes than the nearly 1,200 that the town had approved.

A representative of The Related Companies, the Manhattan-based firm that first pitched the development outlined the proposed changes in broad terms to the Tuxedo Town Board on Monday night in what he described as a new framework and the opening of a collaborative pursuit with town officials.
