Sewer Rates

Mission Statement

We aim to start a sewer fund to match the water fund and bill customers accordingly. Industry professionals will advise the Committee to establish a fair and equitable system of rates directly related to the amount of water used inside the home (Not on the lawn or for other outdoor use).

Creating a sewer department means that all the expenses will be transferred to a new sewer fund lowering the overall property tax per home. However, this does not mean your new sewer rent bill will be higher or lower than your former tax bill. It depends on if you use Village sewer or have a very high indoor water user. You may qualify for a free seasonal meter if you have high water use outdoors. Please get in touch with John Ledwith at the Village Office.
