History
The village has had up to two gates throughout its history – the north gate that connected us to Rt 17 at the corner off Wee Wah Rd. and Continental Rd. through the old golf course and a west gate that connected Long Meadow Rd. to Potuckit Rd.
The new gatehouse is embraced by two examples of historically designated architecture by architect Bruce Price, the original architect who designed Tuxedo Park. The buildings are called the Lodge and the Keep. The new gatehouse was designed by published designer and village mayor David C. McFadden in 2021.

Package delivery services Amazon Prime, FedEx, UPS, etc. can make deliveries between 8am to 6pm daily, but are not permitted gate entry after 5pm.
The reason is to increase road safety for vehicles and people recreating on our roads. All delivery services allow the purchaser to set the time for deliveries, so remember to tell the company that we are a gated community that does not allow deliveries past 5pm.
If you call and request permission in advance, the police will make an exception for emergencies such as medicine or other similar deliveries.

Residents can access our Kiosk 24×7, or for residents who are not mobile, we can send an officer to your house to take your unwanted medications, and we will dispose of them in the Kiosk.
Short-term rentals are restricted to not fewer than 30 consecutive days. The Village discourages yard signs of any kind, including Rental and For Sale signs.
