Verizon Wireless Cell Tower Presentation

As you may be aware, Verizon Wireless is interested in erecting a monopole cell tower, at its own expense, to improve cell service in the Village. The location for the tower, which will rise approximately 110 feet and place the top just above the tree line, is on Village property just below the water towers above Ridge Road.

As part of the application process, Verizon Wireless has made a PowerPoint presentation to the Communications Committee following a balloon test that was performed to evaluate the visibility of the top of the cell tower from various locations in the Village. The project has been titled “Tuxedo Rd” by the carrier.

For your reference, and in anticipation of the first public meeting to discuss the Verizon Wireless proposal, I am annexing hereto the following for your review:

1. The Verizon Wireless PowerPoint presentation slides including Balloon test photos.

2. A photo array of a monopole located in Elizabethtown, NY in Essex County.

3. A series of informational documents including health and safety studies.

The initial public meeting will take place on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 7pm. At this Special Board meeting, Verizon Wireless will make a presentation that will include coverage maps to show how cell service will be improved in the Village after the cell tower becomes operational.
