Town Board Supervisor and incumbent candidate Kenneth English respond to the Mayor's Open Letter on the Related Development Company's Tuxedo Farms Project.

The village will post the written responses from the candidates in the order they are received.

From the Supervisor:

Dear Mayor McFadden.

Thanks for your letter that conveyed some of the important concerns of Tuxedo Park constituents about  Related's presentation and proposal submitted to the Tuxedo Town Board. The issues raised were shared with Related and Town Board members and will certainly be considered and addressed in future negotiations.

As I stated at our September 27th meeting, this was a "first date" conversation that will certainly lead to in depth discussions and negotiations. My goal was to get us back to the table at a time when there is a growing market for residential options in a rural setting.

Please accept my attached letter as a response to be shared with Tuxedo Park residents who I certainly consider to be constituents. Our next Town Board meeting, Wednesday October 13, beginning at 6:30, will be held in-person at Town Hall, and via the Tuxedo WebEx portal. The link is found below and on our webpage.

I thank you for your offer to disseminate my response and look forward to thoughtful dialogue, research, guidance from our consultants, and most important, our residents.

Tuxedo Town Clerk, Marisa Dollbaum, is collecting and forwarding all comments directly to Related's Senior Vice President, Greg Gushee. Please encourage all residents to share their ideas. [email protected]

Sincerely,

Kenneth English
