Aquatic invasive species prevention Canada Lake New York - 2009 - 2015
Jim was an active member of the Invasive Species committee and served as both a Lake Inspector and Lake Steward for ten years.
Jim organized teams of residents in 2009 to inspect boats for aquatic invasive species at a DEC boat launch and other teams to inspect the littoral zone of three interconnected lakes annually. The Canada Lakes are among a few inhabited Adirondack lakes that still have no aquatic invasive species.
