Financial and Management Consultant Hired

To provide financial and management consulting services to our water, wastewater, and stormwater utilities, the Village Board has hired Amawalk Consulting Group LLC.

Amawalk's services are offered exclusively to local governments and other organizations, including the cost of service and rate studies; financial feasibility analysis to support the issuance of debt; alternative financing analysis; benchmarking, and best practices evaluations as part of strategic planning or the optimization of service delivery; organization and staffing studies including succession planning; and many other forms of financial and management consulting assistance. 

To provide sufficient funds for ongoing improvements to the sewer system to satisfy NYSDEC requirements and promote equity among the property owners in the Village, Amawalk will advise the board and property owners on establishing new sewer and water rates. The goal is to create a self-sustaining sewer fund with revenues generated by sewer user charges in lieu of property taxes.
