Mayor’s Labor Day Message

Mayor’s Labor Day Message

To the Laborers of the Tuxedo Park Community,

As we gather this weekend to celebrate Labor Day, I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the dedicated individuals who make our village the wonderful community that it is. Labor Day serves as a fitting occasion to recognize the tireless efforts of those who contribute to the well-being and vitality of our village.

First and foremost, I extend my deepest gratitude to our village employees, who serve as the bedrock of our local government. From our dedicated administrative staff, tireless police force, and diligent public works team to the committed checkers and lifeguards at the Wee Wah Park & Beach Club, their unwavering commitment to the seamless operation of our village is genuinely commendable.

Our volunteer firefighters and EMS personnel deserve special recognition for their unwavering dedication to the safety and welfare of our residents. Their selflessness and bravery are a source of comfort and pride for all of us.

Let us not forget the incredible teachers at our local private and public schools who shape the future of our village. Their passion for education and nurturing make immeasurable contributions that lay the foundation for a bright future for our next generation of responsible citizens.

In addition to these dedicated groups, I thank our local contractors who generously provide volunteer and paid services to the village and residents. Their contributions, whether through construction, repairs, or various projects, greatly enhance the quality of life in our community. We are grateful for their willingness to give their time and expertise for the aesthetic enhancement of our community.

Lastly, our local merchants play a vital role in serving our community's needs. Their businesses provide essential services and contribute to our village's unique character and vibrancy.

On this Labor Day, let us come together as a community to express our gratitude to these remarkable individuals and groups who enrich our lives in countless ways. Their dedication and hard work are essential to the prosperity and well-being of our village.

As we enjoy this weekend of relaxation, may we also take a moment to reflect on the significance of your labor and the contributions you make. Because of you, our community is a safer and better place. Thank you from all the residents of Tuxedo Park.

We wish you all a safe and enjoyable Labor Day.

Warm regards,

Mayor David McFadden
