Office of the (Self-Appointed) Public Advocate - Press Release

Concerning the "Public Advocate" Press Release today: Like all of its past accusations, these current accusations are ill-considered, poorly researched, and false. 

Interestingly, the "Public Advocate" hasn't presented a single fact in its press release but merely unsupported accusations that it claims "will be investigated."  This is strikingly odd from an entity advocating for justice, fairness, transparency, and openness.  Re-read the Public Advocate Press Release. All you will find are unsupported allegations followed by admissions that the Public Advocate has not even investigated any of the allegations yet.  Perhaps the Public Advocate really isn't about fairness and openness, but rather a platform for nonsense and vitriol. 

In any event, as your Mayor, I have always supported the principles of open government, and I shall continue to do so despite those, like the "Public Advocate" who recklessly cast baseless aspersions.
